History
In 1948, Marshall Skadden, John Slate and
Les Arps opened a new law firm. The firm changed its name to
Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in 1961.
Skadden would expand in 1973 with an office
in Boston and its first international office in Tokyo in 1981.
