The company owns and operates 153 retail grocery stores in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Illinois under the Pick 'n Save, Copps Food Center, and Rainbow Foods banners. In addition, Roundy's operates three distribution centers, all in Wisconsin, including a new 1.1 million square foot facility opened in April, 2005. Roundy's offers 2,500 products for sale under its own name. Roundy's had annual revenues of $4 billion. The company was founded by William A. Smith, Judson A. Roundy and Sidney Hauxhurst. They opened the first Roundy wholesale grocery warehouse under the name of Smith, Roundy & Co. in 1872 in Milwaukee. The company also operates the Roundy's Foundation, which oversees charitable giving to non-profit organizations and food pantries.
