Website: http://www.oge.com OGE Energy Corp. is the parent company of OG&E Electric Services (OG&E) Oklahoma's largest utility. OG&E is a regulated electric utility in Oklahoma and western Arkansas. OGE Energy is also the parent company of Enogex Inc., a natural gas pipeline and energy marketing business. Oklahoma Gas and Electric Company serves approximately 735,000 retail customers in Oklahoma and western Arkansas, and a number of wholesale customers throughout the region. OG&E, with nine power plants capable of producing about 6,100 megawatts, generates about 70 percent of its electricity from low-sulfur Wyoming coal and 30 percent from natural gas. The company delivers electricity across an interconnected transmission and distribution system spanning 30,000 square miles. Enogex is engaged in natural gas gathering, processing, transportation, storage and marketing. Enogex operates a natural gas pipeline system with 9,000 miles of pipe, six processing plants, and 23 billion cubic feet of gas storage capacity, principally in Oklahoma and Arkansas. Edward Cooke founded Oklahoma Gas & Electric on February 27, 1902. Oklahoma became the 46th state in 1907. In 2004, OGE had revenues of $4.92 billion and net income of $153.5 million.
