History

It all started with a single location and a simple concept. Samuel C. Johnson believed that a bank should be about service, values and integrity - the things that have formed the core of all Johnson family businesses. Sam believed in the importance of family and community. To him, success wasn't found in the next quarter's earnings, but in building for the next generation.

Sam thought banks could do better, so in 1970 he founded one and pledged to deliver unmatched service.
