Ithaca College, founded in 1892, is a private, coeducational college offering undergraduate and graduate programs in business, communications, health sciences and human performance, humanities and sciences, music, and interdisciplinary studies.
The campus is located about one hour south of Syracuse and is in the same city as Cornell University. It is located on 669 acres and overlooks Cayuga Lake.
In fall 2010, Ithaca had 6,383 full-time undergrad students and 476 graduate students. Over 43% of students come from New York with the rest from 49 other states and 78 countries.
Tuition for the 2011-12 school year for undergraduates is $35,278 and about $12,854 for room and board.
The college employs 473 full-time faculty, 251 part-time faculty and 973 administrative and staff employees.
Ithaca had a budget of $208.1 million in 2010.
The school began in 1892 as the Ithaca Conservatory of Music.
