Japanese human resources company Recruit Co. said it will acquire Indeed in September for an undisclosed amount.

Users can find millions of jobs from company websites and other job boards. They can also search salary data and career trends. The service is free for job seekers. Resume uploading was recently introduced by Indeed.

Employers can provide a feed of their jobs to Indeed and also pay to sponsor jobs which appear at the top of search results.

Indeed was founded in 2004 by Paul Forster and Rony Kahan founded in 2004. They previously founded the website Jobsinthemoney, a job site for financial professionals.

The company is privately held with investors including The New York Times Company, Allen & Company, and Union Square Ventures.

Indeed has offices in Austin, TX, Mountain View, CA, Stamford, CT, New York, Dublin and London.
