The restaurants are well-known for their steaks at dinner along with all-you-can eat hot foods and salads, baked goods and desserts. Meal prices are generally under $11. The family-style buffet contains an array of food choices including hot meat options, pasta, pizza, fresh vegetables, salad bar and a selection of carved meats at dinner including grilled-to-order steak. Many locations serve a breakfast buffet on weekends. Golden Corral's steaks are USDA inspected, cut fresh daily and are grilled to order in front of guests. Grilled chicken, pork, wings, ribs and sausage add more variety of grilled products for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Brass Bell Bakery and Dessert Café serve up fresh baked goods and tempting desserts to customers every day along with cotton candy. The restaurants feature piping hot yeast rolls, cookies and fudge brownies that are baked fresh every 15 minutes! The first Golden Corral restaurant opened in Fayetteville, NC in 1973.
