Founded in 1971, Empire State College, State University of New York, is one of the university's 13 colleges of arts and sciences, accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
The college serves adults pursuing associate, bachelor's and master's degrees. The college offers affordable, SUNY degrees onsite at locations in New York state and abroad, as well as entirely online. There are more than 300 courses available.
Empire State College has 34 onsite locations in seven regions throughout New York state where students can take study.
Over 18,000 people take classes at Empire State College annually and the school has over 60,000 graduates.
NY State residents pay $207 per credit for the first 11 credits. Out-of-state residents pay $558 for the first 11 credits each term.
2011 marks the 40th anniversary of the school.
