Central Hudson Gas & Electric Corporation
(Central Hudson) is a regulated transmission and distribution
utility serving approximately 367,000 customers in eight counties
of New York State's Mid-Hudson River Valley. Central Hudson delivers
natural gas and electricity in a 2,600 square mile service territory
that extends from the suburbs of metropolitan New York City north
to the Capital District at Albany. Central Hudson delivers overall
electric bills that are among the lowest in New York State. The
service territory has exhibited annual increases in employment
and population, driving growth in utility customers. Central
Hudson continues to make significant investments in its system
infrastructure and is a leader in promoting regional economic
growth.
Central Hudson Enterprises Corporation
(CHEC), a non-regulated subsidiary, is the umbrella for a family
of energy-related companies and investments focused primarily
on fuel distribution and renewable energy. CHEC's fuel distribution
business, Griffith Energy Services, supplies energy products
and services to more than 85,000 customers in nine states and
the District of Columbia. CHEC also has interests in a Lexington,
NE, ethanol plant, two wind power projects, and a biomass plant
in upstate New York.
In 2006, CH Energy had revenues of $993.4
million and net income of $43.0 million.

Health Benefits
As an employee, you can choose to participate in a health
care plan that provides a choice of medical coverage, as well
as dental and vision benefits.
Pension Plan
You are automatically covered in the Company's traditional pension
plan after one year of service. The plan is funded entirely by
the Company and provides a monthly income upon retirement for
the employee and /or surviving spouse.
401K Plan
You are eligible to join the 401K plan IMMEDIATELY. The Company
provides a partial matching contribution on the first 8 percent
for management employees, and on the first 6 percent for unionized
employees. You are always 100 percent vested in both your contributions
and the Company's matching contributions.
Insurance
You are covered for life insurance equal to two times your base
salary if you are in management, and equal to your base salary
if you are a unionized employee. In addition, Business Travel
Insurance and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance are
also provided. The Company pays for all of this coverage in full.
LTD Insurance
All management employees are eligible to enroll in the Long-Term
Disability plan. This plan provides monthly payments of up to
2/3 of your monthly salary should you become permanently disabled
and can no longer work.
Wellness Program
The Company's Wellness Program will reimburse you up to $200
per year for any wellness type program you join, which can include
memberships in fitness clubs.
Tuition Assistance
You are eligible to participate in the Company's Tuition Assistance
Program. The Company pays up to 100 percent of the costs associated
with tuition and fees for an employee enrolled in a degree-granting
course of study. The Company pays 75 percent of the costs of
a course an employee takes that is related to his/her work (but
not resulting in a degree).
Employee Assistance Program
You are covered by the Company's Employee Assistance Program.
The program offers confidential counseling assistance to employees
or their eligible dependents who may need the services of a professional
to assist them through difficult or confusing situations.
Vacation
You will become eligible for vacation that is based on your service
time. The vacation schedule ranges from one to six weeks.
Holidays
The Company celebrates 11 fixed holidays, and employees also
have two floating holidays that can be used at any time.
Recreation Center
The Company maintains an employee training and recreation center
complete with swimming (and swimming lessons for employees' children
and grandchildren) and picnic grounds for outdoor games and activities.
