CDW is a leading provider of integrated information technology solutions in the U.S. and Canada. CDW helps its customer base of more than 250,000 small, medium and large business, government, education and healthcare customers by delivering critical solutions to their increasingly complex IT needs.

The company has a broad array of offerings range from discrete hardware and software products to integrated IT solutions such as mobility, security, data center optimization, cloud computing, virtualization and collaboration. It has a product portfolio that includes more than 100,000 products from over 1,000 brands.

CDW has a sales force and service delivery teams consisting of more than 4,300 workers, including over 1,700 field sellers, highly skilled technology specialists and advanced service delivery engineers.

CDW's 513,000-square-foot distribution facility located in North Las Vegas, NV, predominantly serves customers located in the Western United States and features a product configuration center of approximately 25,000 square feet.

In 2012, the company reported sales of $10.1 billion, up from $9.6 billion the previous year.

The company went public again on Nasdaq in June 2013 after being acquired by private equity firms six years ago.

In 1982, a 28-year-old, out-of-work college graduate named Michael Krasny needed cash and decided to sell his IBM personal computer. He placed a $3 classified ad in the Chicago Tribune and was shocked when offers came pouring in. Krasny quickly sold the computer for a $200 profit, and a company was born.

Realizing there was a ripe market for PCs, Krasny became a computer broker, buying and selling computers for a small profit. He originally named his company MPK Computers. That company later became Computer Discount Warehouse or simply CDW. The company would go public in 1993 and opened its online site in 1995.

CDW was acquired by private equity firms Madison Dearborn Partners and Providence Equity Partners in 2007.

Health Plans

CDW offers a choice of two medical and two dental plans to eligible coworkers. Prescription coverage and a basic vision allowance are included in each of the medical plans. CDW also offers a supplemental vision plan. These plans are designed to protect you and your family against financial hardship in the event of serious illness or injury, and to encourage you to take an active role in your health care.
CDW's health and dependent care flexible spending accounts provide coworkers with a tax-effective means to pay for out-of-pocket health care and dependent care expenses. Flexible spending accounts allow coworkers to pay for up to $4,000 of eligible out-of-pocket health care expenses and up to $5,000 of eligible dependent care expenses on a pre-tax basis.

Financial Security

CDW's financial security benefits assist you in your future goals and help you build a solid foundation for financial security.
The CDW Corporation Employees' Profit Sharing Plan is designed to help our coworkers save for their retirement and to reward coworkers for their contributions to the success of the Company. The plan has three components:

1. The 401(k) feature allows you to save for the future through pre-tax payroll deductions.
2. Employer matching contributions may be made to coworkers who make 401(k) contributions to the plan during the plan year and remain employed at CDW on the last day of the plan year.
3. Employer profit-sharing contributions may be made by CDW for coworkers who are eligible to participate in the plan and remain employed at CDW on the last day of the plan year.
Through the CDW Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), coworkers can purchase shares of CDW common stock at a discount. CDW also may grant stock options to eligible coworkers, which allow coworkers to purchase CDW stock at a future date at a price that is pre-determined.
