One Busch Place
If you like cold beer, then you'll love Anheuser-Busch. The company is the nation's largest beer producer under the Budweiser and Michelob names with a 48.5% market share in the U.S.
The company announced it will merge with InBev of Belgium to create the world's largest beer company in a deal worth $52 billion. The combined company will be called Anheuser Busch InBev.
Anheuser-Busch also owns a 50 percent share in Grupo Modelo, Mexico's leading brewer, and a 27 percent share in China brewer Tsingtao, whose namesake beer brand is the country's best-selling premium beer.
But it's not all about beer. The company is one of the largest theme park operators in the United States with Sea World and Busch Gardens. It is also a major manufacturer of aluminum cans and is the world's largest recycler of aluminum beverage containers.
In 2007, Busch reported revenues of $16.6 billion and net income of $2.1 billion.
The company was founded by Adolphus Busch in 1864 who joined the Anheuser Brewery which was owned by his father-in-law Eberhard Anheuser.
Anheuser-Busch also offers a very liberal vacation and holiday package.
