B/E Aerospace is the world’s leading manufacturer of aircraft cabin interior products. B/E Aerospace designs, develops and manufactures a broad range of products for both commercial aircraft and business jets.
B/E Aerospace manufactured products include aircraft cabin seating, lighting systems, oxygen systems, food and beverage preparation and storage equipment, galley systems, and modular lavatory systems.
The Company also provides cabin interior reconfiguration, program management and certification services. B/E Aerospace sells and supports its products through its own global direct sales and product support organization.
The company reported 2014 revenues of $2.6 billion, an 18% increase. Net income was $57.7 million.
In December 2014, B/E Aerospace completed a spinoff of KLX into a separate publicly traded company. KLX provides distribution and logistics services for the aerospace and energy sectors.
Amin Khoury, Executive Chairman of B/E Aerospace said, “2014 was a defining year in the history of the Company. We completed the spin-off of KLX, our consumables management segment, which was comprised of the aerospace distribution and energy services businesses.”
History
The company was founded in 1987 and originally named Bach Engineering. The company was renamed B/E Avionics after acquiring the company in 1989. It went public in April 1990.
The company was renamed B/E Aersopace in 1992.
B/E has made multiple acquisitions of companies since it was founded.
