Paid Time Off
Starting your first day at BDO Seidman, you accrue a minimum
of 16 days per year of combined vacation, illness and personal
time. If you are hired at a manager level or above, you accrue
22 days per year. These accrual rates increase as your service
with the Firm increases. Additional time is offered for bereavement
purposes.
Paid Holidays
In addition to Paid Time Off, BDO Seidman provides employees
with nine paid holidays each year.
Flexible Spending Accounts
The FSA allows eligible employees to pay for specific health
and dependent care expenses with pre-tax dollars.
Retirement Benefits
Eligible employees can defer a portion of their income to a 401K
plan, in which the firm will match 25 percent of the first six
percent after you are employed at BDO Seidman for one year. After
you are employed for five years, the firm will match 50 percent
of the first six percent.
Continuing Education
BDO Seidman conducts a broad range of excellent in-house continuing
professional education courses. This includes a full reimbursement
for CPA Exam sitting time and exam preparatory materials, including
books and review software.
Tuition Reimbursement
BDO Seidman reimburses 100 percent of costs for outside education
deemed by the firm to be necessary for the advancement of the
individual.
Long-Term Care Insurance
BDO Seidman offers financial assistance to pay for the care provided
at a nursing facility or in an employee's own home. The employee
pays the premium and the coverage is open to their spouse, parents,
grandparents, parents-in-law and grandparents-in-law.
Salary Continuation Program
BDO Seidman offers 60 percent of your weekly compensation up
to $2,000 per week for 12 weeks if you are disabled due to an
accident or illness. If you remain disabled while you are paying
the premium, the insurance continues to pay 60 percent of your
monthly compensation, with a maximum $20,000 monthly benefit.
Group Life Insurance
We provide for coverage up to $50,000 that includes accidental
death and dismemberment beginning from your date of hire. Additional
coverage up to $500,000 includes additional accidental death
benefits and is available to all employees at attractive group
rates.
Pre-Paid Group Legal Services
BDO Seidman offers employees a Pre-Paid Group Legal Service Plan.
Employees who enroll in this plan can obtain affordable legal
services from one of three sources: Telephone Network Attorneys,
In-Office Network Attorneys or any other attorney (i.e., a non-Network
Attorney).
