Nation's Largest Accounting Firms Job prospects are strong for accountants. With new regulations affecting corporations such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, there's more work to be done for accounting firms. Here's a list of the largest accounting firms in the U.S. Deloitte, Ernst & Young, PriceWaterhouseCoopers and KPMG are together known as the "Big 4" accounting firms. Arthur Andersen made the list the "Big 5" but was disbanded by the government in 2002 for Obstruction of Justice following the Enron scandal.

Headquartered in Chicago. CBIZ - Also known as Century Business Services. Headquartered in Cleveland. Employs over 5,000 in more than 160 offices nationwide. BDO Seidman - U.S. firm of BDO International. Headquartered in Chicago. Global headquarters in Brussels, Belgium. Crowe Group. - Headquartered in Indianapolis.
